Antonina Car

About
Antonina Car is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, sound artist, and music producer whose work bridges post-classical, ambient, and experimental genres. Her music seamlessly blends the rich textures of acoustic instruments with subtle electronics and evocative vocals, creating immersive and emotionally resonant soundscapes. At the heart of her compositions is the violin, transformed through electroacoustic techniques and innovative improvisation, offering new perspectives on both tradition and experimentation.
Her debut album Immersed Sensibilities, released by the American label Time Released Sound, received critical acclaim both in Poland and internationally. Her second album, Toń, commissioned by the Electrum Up To Date Festival in Białystok, features a collaboration with white-voice vocalist Nika Jurczuk. The album explores East Slavic folk traditions through contemporary soundscapes, blending the pudlaśka mova (Podlasie dialect) with experimental electroacoustic textures. Critically acclaimed for its innovative approach and cultural depth, Toń has solidified Antonina’s position as one of Poland’s most compelling modern composers.
Antonina’s work has been featured in interviews and performances on major platforms, including National Radio No. 3(where she performed live on air). She has also worked extensively in Berlin at MONOM Studio, a globally renowned hub for sound innovation and home to the cutting-edge 4DSOUND system. At MONOM, Antonina explored spatial audio as both an artistic and experiential medium, collaborating with international artists to push the boundaries of immersive soundscapes.
In Poland, she contributed to Czarny Pokój (Black Room), the first sound gallery in the country, a groundbreaking project by Kolonia Artystów. There, she created quadraphonic compositions and installations that immersed listeners in complete darkness, inviting them to experience sound in a deeply personal and meditative way.
